In 1985 we purchased the lovely fawn bitch 'Sankins San Moon' ( Mindy ) from Sandy Hawkins. Mindy was by 'Byrock Moon River', who we had watched gain his only CC, from Mike Stockman, out of 'Quatt Tammy'.

SW.& NOR. CH. KINGROCK CHIVES Pierrot to Saffron also produced the beautiful 'Kingrock Angelica', who was so unlucky not to gain her title, winning 2 CC's and 7 RCC's. 'Angelica' did produce a title holder, 'Ch. Kingrock Poppyseed', sired by the stunning 'Ch. Nokomis White Eagle'. At Crufts in 1993, the Junior, Limit and Open winners in the bitch challenge were all Kingrocks, with the CC going to 'Ch. K. Poppyseed' and the RCC to her mother, 'K.Angelica'.

UK & Am.Ch. Kingrock Poppyseed produced just one litter and this was by the pied 'Kingrock Pagliacci'. From this litter came the very feminine 'Kingrock Sesameseed', who in turn, mated to another of our pied stud dogs, 'Kingrock Moon Mission' produced the outstanding litter containing the top winning French Bulldog puppy of 1996 'Kingrock Frogmella for Roozrick.
PENBURTON DOUBLE ACT WITH KINGROCK 'PENBURTON DOUBLE ACT with KINGROCK' (Madge) joined us in 2006. Bred by 'French Bulldog Club of England' secretary, Penny Rankine-Parsons, Madge's pedigree contains many of our old lines and we are very grateful to Penny for allowing her to come to us. Madge has won consistantly at championship show level and in 2007 produced her first litter, sired by 'Roozrick Bilbo Baggins', who is linebred to 'Kingrock Frogmella for Roozrick'. We have kept a most promising dog, 'Kingrock Anton', ( see stud dog section ) and we hope to campaign him during 2008.

Mindy not only had a fabulous temperament but turned out to be a wonderful mother. When she died, shortly before her 11th birthday, everyone who knew her were saddened. For her first litter Mindy was mated to Tom Kentish's German import, 'Ch. Rajah von der Grimmelsburg of Tollydane', a dog we handled at stud on several occasions, following the tragic death of his owner. From a litter of nine puppies, seven were reared, and several of the puppies from this litter went as foundation stock to new-comers to the breed, who have subsequently gone on to establish winning kennels and are now championship show judges in the breed.
The puppy we retained, a brindle, 'Kingrock Saffron', went on to become a top producer and the UK's leading French Bulldog brood two years running. All five of her champion progeny were sired by the outstanding stud dog 'Ch. Tollydane Pierrot at Nokomis'. Shown below are some of her champion offspring and one or two others from this very successful mating. 
For her next litter 'Sankins San Moon of Kingrock' was mated to 'Ch Ledormy Squire Finch' and produced the handsome fawn, 'Zimbabwian Ch. Kingrock Goldfinch at Gamestaff'. This combination also produced the SOUTH AFRICAN CH. KINGROCK STRAWBERRY FINCH, but unfortunately we do not have her photograph. 
For her last litter 'Sankins San Moon of K.' was mated to the 'Ch. Tollydane Pierrot at Nokomis' son, 'Kingrock Pagliacci'. From this litter came 'Ir. Ch. Kingrock Jules'. 
Campaigned by the same Irish kennel was 'Ir. Ch. Kingrock Captain Pugwash of Marzet' sired by the 'Ch Rajah von der Grimmelsburg of Tollydane' son, Byrock Silver Wizard ex. Kingrock Dockyard Doris.
During 2006 we also acquired the litter sisters 'Inyawood Phyllis Diller at Kingrock' & 'Inyawood Lili Marlene at Kingrock'. Once again their pedigree contains our breeding on both sides and we are sure they will contribute greatly to the blood-lines we have already. They are seen in the photograph at 10 weeks of age with a Victorian toy.
